Plan your next meeting, workshop, conference, retreat or reunion with us!
When you camp with us, you have our entire 12 wooded acres at your disposal. Western Life Camp has been a family-owned and operated facility since 1968, offering day and overnight bunkhouse style housing and meeting facilities to groups up to 100 people. We have four decades experience running and hosting summer programs.
Our property backs up to the Santa Fe National Forest and has the Gallinas River running through the property, so your outdoor adventure begins right here. We only rent to a single group at a time, so you have a forest, stream and large grassy meadow all to yourself.
Some of the features you'll enjoy:
Eight guest cabins , ranging from intimate 2-person rooms to 24-person bunkhouses. Cabins include restrooms and private showers.
Central kitchen and dining hall
Easy access to hiking, biking and fishing
Access to hot mineral baths within easy driving distance

Spacious grassy field
Half-court for basketball.

The camp itself was built, primarily, by the Army Corps of Engineers around 1935 and has been in continuous operation since that time. It started out as a dude ranch, then became a boys' camp, then a private recreational summer camp for boys and girls, until its present incarnation as a mountain retreat and conference center.
